Cable Trim Hoodie

KX-350 T-7

Berroco Comfort DK
1.75 oz, 3 balls

Gauge : 13 rows x 9 sts (approx)

Approx 56” long, 14” wide

1. Cast on 70 sts (35-0-35) with waste yarn and ravel cord. E-wrap stitches.
2. K 1 row to the left.
3. RC to 000
4. *Do a 2x2 cable on needles 31R-34R, K4 rows* As you do the cable drop the stitch on needle 30R and re-latch. This will keep the edge from rolling so much.
5. Repeat from * to * thru Row 100. To keep the back edge from rolling, drop the stitches off needles 2L and 4L and re-latch to the top as you go along.
6. As you do the short rowing make sure you continue to do the 2x2 cable but you will not have to do the re-latching of needles 2L and 4L.
7. Put the carriage on hold on both sides. Put needle 35L in hold. K 2 rows
8. Put needle 34L in hold. K 2 rows. Keep putting one needle in hold on the left until needles 35-1L are in hold and the carriage is on the left.
9. K 1 row to the right
10. With carriage on the right, place needle 1L into work. K 2 rows.
11. Continue in this manner until all needles are back in work.
12. RC 000 Knit 100 rows in pattern remembering to drop and re-latch stitches on the left and the 2x2 cable pattern on the right.
13. With the carriage on the left, do a back stitch bind off and remove the work from the machine. You can crochet a cute edge to the bottoms if you like.
14. Dampen, block, and enjoy.

  1. I've just started machine knitting so a lot of this is Greek to me. It's lovely.
